Laura Gruen, MD, Named ‘BJC Medical Group Physician of the Year’

Laura Gruen, MDThis year's BJC Medical Group (BJCMG) Physician of the Year is Laura Gruen, MD, of The Heart Care Group. Dr. Gruen, a board-certified interventional cardiologist, earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida-Tampa Medical School and also completed her residency at this location. Dr. Gruen completed her fellowship at the University of Florida. She has a special interest in cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease care.

"Dr. Gruen, as a member of the BJC Medical Group team, is an exceptional doctor and has been influential in the success of this practice since she began in 2010," says Mary Beth Dieckmann-Kirisits, director of BJCMG Cardiology. "Treating each patient with the upmost dignity, respect and care, Dr. Gruen is a leader in her field and we are grateful to have her leadership as BJC Medical Group continues to focus on cardiology at Christian Hospital." 

Annually, BJCMG recognizes staff employees, managers, nurse practitioners/physician assistants and physicians in the Employee of the Year Program. The award recognizes performance excellence and significant contributions to the mission of BJC Medical Group. This award is to honor a member of who not only performs their job duties, but gives extra effort beyond the scope of their job.
